Never been strict with others' hungers

It's the Bindle's first ever sharing day for first grade and she and her dad are bringing in the cat first thing this morning. Two seconds ago we were all standing in the kitchen eyeing both the cat carriers and being unsure whether or not either of them will be able to contain her. It appears my kitty's gotten very fat and it is all my fault ( Read more... )

*giggle* Your kitty needs a diet! I don't pay attention to how much my cat eats, either. When the bowl is empty, I refill it. I'm not even sure how much cats are supposed to eat.

I'm surprised she doesn't like the wet food! I've heard it's lower in calories than the dry food. Might help with dieting if she would eat that instead.

LOL. Come to think of it, I think the bag of cat food has a feeding guide printed on it. At least IAMS does. Don't know about other brands.

Doesn't science diet (or something like that) have a special food specifically for weight loss? I would call your vet or talk with the people at Petco or something. They should know of something you can do to trim (her?) down.

I love the name Cinnamon cat. When I ws a kid, my mother used to name our cats after spices, too. We had Nutmeg and Ginger.

we free feed, but the chubby kitty gets a Much Smaller bowl to eat out of, plus we use Diet-Indoor-Hairball control food. i tried to feed them the two times a day method, but my skinny cat is too finicky for that, and the chubby one behaved like i was trying to starve her to death (she would meow for what felt like Hours). *sighs*
