I am still up at this hour because I'm waiting for a video of the Miss Sixty fashion show to load, so that I can see Irena Lazareanu lose her cool and start laughing on the runway. I was cut off from my last entry, and a few things have happened that are worth mentioning ( Read more... )

Ahh! Acropolis! I am going to hyperventilate when I get up there next semester.

And speaking of planning for next semester - how are your classes? Recommend any professors? Which on site class are you taking? Since I took Mark Landon's City of Athens I don't want to be bored by repetitive easy stuff, so I'm curious about the content...

Ah, I'm so sorry I forgot to respond to this comment. If Tanoulas is offering a class, take it. It was so boring in the beginning, but now that we're on-site we have completely unrestricted access to the Acropolis. I've been on top of both the Parthenon and the Propylaea. It's amazing. I honestly don't know if I'm learning much, but having an architectural slant rather than archaeology is interesting, and the on-site experience is absolutely wonderful. The official title is "Greek Architecture from Archaic to Roman times as reflected in the monuments of Athens ( ... )

Awesome, thanks for replying! I just got my official acceptance for next fall, so good timing. :)

It looks like your Architecture class (and that prof) is only in the spring semester...but both my language classes will be with Nigel, so that's excellent. I don't think I'll take Modern Greek because I've already got two languages, with Latin and Ancient Greek. I'll probably have more questions later!

Okay, here's a more mundane question: did you get your 12 photos taken somewhere around here?

um yes, i do have stories! I have been so busy with classes that I haven't had time to email you! But tonight (well after 5 p.m. or so when I'm done with lab I will send you an email if you're not online (which you probably won't be).
Glad to hear you are having so much fun with your classes!!

*is jealous that you get to see all the pretty buildings* I'm also thrilled with our on-site class. I vote that we only take on-site classes from now on. Do you think it's possible to be morally opposed to slide classes? I'm glad you're having fun and having some time to party!

Also, congrats on the Sarah Williston scholar! Way to be so much smarter than the rest of us! :)
