Here's the local weather forecast. It looks like Saturday might well drip on us, so what are your thoughts on moving the picnic to Sunday @ noon? (meet-up still at the Volunteer Park conservatory)

Also a note on what to bring--you can bring anything you want, but ideally something that doesn't

Sadly I cannot make it on Saturday. I'm using that day to try to finally get my garden whipped into shape.

I don't know yet. I'm going to have to go for stuff with a very short growing season since I can only reliably count on it not freezing until mid-September. I'm probably going to try kohlrabi again and possibly some short season carrots and whatnot. Maybe next year I'll go with my grand plan for watermelons and corn.
