D'awwww. So that's how they came to calling each other lover. I really like this insight into their relationship while it's still new. I also loved how Z'ko can listen through Sokka's... Sokka'isms. He speaks Sokka-ease. hehe.

zOMG this one started as more sappy romantic, and then Sokka started TALKING and WOULD NOT SHUT UP, and actually it worked really well.

And that last line is ambiguous. I can't decide if I like it that way or not. It's actually Sokka speaking and offering to wash Z'ko's back. I don't think Z'ko ever calls Sokka "lover."

Whenever I write Sokka and Zuko dialog, Sokka calls him "buddy" ALL THE TIME. It just didn't quite seem right, and yet "lover" does.

THIS UNIVERSE HAS A MIND OF ITS OWN.

This was absolutely adorable. VERY in-character. Sokka just keeps running his mouth and I can just hear his awkward laugh in my head... BUT IT ALL WORKS OUT ALL RIGHT IN THE END.

I love the "smithy" comments. :3 Although I have to wonder - does this Z'ko have a facial scar? Is it from thread, or something else...?

Thank you! Sokka just writes himself, especially when Zuko's responses are just to glare. :D

Z'ko does have a facial scar -- according to avocado_love's canon, his father cast him out holdless during a fall, and he nearly lost his eye to thread.
