Comparison time, guys: little rant
Okay, so here's the deal. Normally, I wouldn't be upset if someone uses one of my graphics and didn't credit. Sometimes I would ask them to the credit me if I really felt like it. I mean, the only reason why I ask for credit is for the hard work I put into making graphics and that maybe some people would request some graphics done for them. I love requests. Requests = more practice.
Anyway, I saw this one girl on GDC that was using an avatar that looks like the 21 Guns avatar I made. This one:
I wasn't 100% sure if it were mine, so I asked her where she got it from. She said she "made it" using ms paint and tinypic. I was slightly skeptical. I've attempted to make graphics when I was younger on ms paint, the quality is crap after you save it. Also, even if she only used tinypic editor, that can only do so much. Well, idk, I've never really used it before.
So, then I told her, "That looks awfully similar to an avatar I made." I showed her the avatar that I made, exactly like that one she had.

After I told her that, she replied saying. "Oh I'm sorry, blah blah blah. My friend sent this image to me and I edit it to make it look like this." idek what she was saying, she had a few typos.
Apparently her friend sent her this picture:
and she edit that. How the hell did she edit the picture to make it look like the avatar with those lines on his face? She goes off changing her avatar and whatnot. So then I told her, "It's okay to use that avatar as long as you give me credit." And now she changes it back, and say -quote on quote- " i shall give credit where credit is due :) "
Like jesus christ, I hate that. It pisses me off. Like, if she just admits that she got it from me, then everyone's happy. She didn't need to LIE about it.
Sorry if I'm too uptight about this. I just really hate it when people lie. Especially with some little like this.
