I'm not sure how I feel about it to be honest. Below are some thoughts:

It was rather inventive the way they got around the regeneration sequence, but does that mean that the Doctor has one less regeneration?

I think Rose was pretty much wasted in coming back really. Although I did like seeing her back, there didn't seem enough interaction. Like she ( Read more... )

My feelings are similar to yours.

I thought the Rose bit took away form the previous goodbye she had. I would have preferred her not to have come back.

And I was upset at the ending Donna got. In many ways it would have been better had she'd deied.

And I never thought about that logic but you're right. Hmmm...

They should definitely have given a better reason for her having to stay in the other universe. I mean this was the girl who was going to keep traveling with the doctor even if it meant never seeing her mum again. The way they did it just seemed like they were putting Rose and human Doctor 10 together to live happy ever after and have lots of babies together. (Of course Rose and Doctor 10 would produce very cute babies, but still...)

I suppose in a way Donna doesn't necessarily have to remain the same. I felt there was a certain amount of hope because her mother and grandfather know who she became and they can possibly influence her to become the better person she was with the doctor. They can do that without necessarily telling her about any of her time with the doctor.
