But then I would need to know whereabouts it's set and I don't.
Inuit word relating to something dragon like.
I suppose it would be rather amusing if Fraser actually gave him the name "dragon" in another language. And the dragon could be rather upset when he found out. "You called me dragon". "Well, you are a dragon, I couldn't think of anything else to call you." Dragon in Chinese is "Lung" according to the the second book, but I think the name should be a bit more unusual than that.
There don't seem to be but some RCMP related names might be:
First NWMP commissioner, Colonel George Arthur French. Henri Julien, an artist from the Canadian Illustrated News who accompanied the RCMP during a famous march. James Morrow Walsh of the NWMP was charged with maintaining control in the large Sioux settlement at Wood Mountain. Charles Constantine (non NWMP) reported on conditions in the Yukon to the Canadian government. RCMP Commissioner M.J. Nadon William J.S. Elliott on July 6, 2007, (Elliott was sworn in on July 16-the first civilian to lead the RCMP.) Lord Strathcona's Horse Sam Steele
Places names that are RCMP associated: RCMP Academy at Regina, Sask. and Police Dog Service Training Centre at Innisfail, Alta.: Depot Division

Wow, you know a lot of translations for the word dragon. Thank you for your suggestions. There are a few promising ones there, assuming I'm saying them right in my head. It couldn't be anything which sounded too dragonlike in English though otherwise the dragon would begin to suspect what Fraser had done.
I'm thinking the likes of Neak, Ryū, Bakunawa and Makara all seem like good contenders, though it would also have to be a language which Fraser is known to speak and I'm not sure Fraser has spoken any of those languages on the show. Though of course with a character like Fraser it doesn't necessarily have to be a hindrance, since he probably would know more languages off screen than we know about. But I guess there would have to be some reason why Fraser would know the particular language.

Other options for names maybe famous Mounties, or a local area name, or an Inuit word relating to something dragon like.

Probably nowhere, like most of my other fics*G*
