Virus warning post on LJ

I seen this post in one the communities I belong to:

Those of you who run communities might want to pass it on. I'm not sure how big the communities are that are being targeted. I mean that community has 947 members, which seems quite large to me.

I've followed a few links and wow it is really worrying.

I'm unclear as to how the hacker gets into the mod LJ to start with. It looks like they use e-mails similar to the legit one to get the password via reset. Really rather worrying.
