these are the 3 things my dean said i need to be successful through culinary school.
1st day of orientation was pretty boring until the end where the dean spoke.
i'm in culinary school!!!! yay.

yea, orientations.. .sigh
today is an optional day.... there's a lot of stuff going on for international students. but i'm debating on whether i'm gonna go in for the student panel with upperclassmen, or the career panel with the alums.
i'm soo tired from working all morning though, so i dunno.

although he did go on about how the best chefs are constantly tasting from the pot as it cooks... and when he was running his kitchen how many times the sous chefs would hand him awful shit to try to serve to the guests without ever tasting it
that's the only way i learned how to cook. my mom was always like, you put some of that in until it tastes right ... and you add some of this until you have enough... i don't ever remember seeing her follow a recipe.
thanks for the luck..i'm excited, but uber nervous.
