For years now, I’ve tried to order the week within my physical limits, finishing the things I had to do and, even, some I wanted to do. Something was missing, though. There was never any joy in it. Thank you. I've left this blog lie fallow for want of a theme to develop and this is one that I've chosen to spin out. In part, it's a belated reply to your writing about the annual commitment letter you received. A couple of weeks ago, we hit that same point in the fiscal cycle and I started to question what I was putting into and getting out of my community ( ... )

It's good to know that people at your temple were there for you when you needed them. That's a community worth keeping.

I never did hear back from the church about my letter. I think I'm going to stick with the Church of Brunch.

I can't believe that you didn't receive the courtesy of a reply. Clearly, they don't deserve someone as good as you. Seeing as you founded the Church of Brunch, I hope that you stick with it! You could even write a Bagel Bible.
