Hearing Canadian accents; I've discovered it's not even just an issue of vowel formations, but a pace issue as well.
Okay, explain this one to me: Americans are too slow or Americans are too fast? Because I've met some slow-ass American speakers. Then again, most varieties of English seem slow to me.
The age of the infrastructure of the city... odd, I know, but it kind of wears on me sometimes.
Is this transport infrastructure, or just the buildings and the look of the place in general?
I've found that Canadians speak slower. Although, I'm quite certain that this is a huge generalization; I'm thinking I should probably say "The Canadians I know , on average, speak slower than the Americans I know." It's true that there are slow-speaking Americans and fast-speaking Canadians, but from my environment, this is what I've noticed
