I made a quiche today. I made a quiche from scratch! I am quite proud of myself, truth be told.
This is my quiche.
Isn't it beautiful? It was also delicious, by the way. Martin, Pete and I ate it all. I think I'm going to make another quiche tomorrow because it was so delicious, and nutritious, and not very difficult at all.
Jesse just walked in the door with a trumpet.
You should see this trumpet. Jesse pretty much does not want to put the trumpet down to let me take a picture of it.
It is almost completely black with tarnish... it's gorgeous. But, here is the story of this trumpet as I know it. Jesse works at a music store, as one of the "brass guys". Someone came into the store a couple of weeks ago with a trumpet they inherited, and wanted to get it appraised. It's apparently from the 1920s, and it's in beautiful condition, other than the tarnished-ness; it plays beautifully. Jesse ended up buying it, and today he brought it home! How exciting.
In other news, I finished my first week of school. I'm having my doubts about this one classical choir I signed up for; it might turn out to be a terrible waste of my time, but I'm going to stick it out for another couple of weeks and see.
And here is a perfect pitch rant: Dudes, if you do not have perfect pitch, do not pretend that you do! You wreck everything for those of us who actually do. Because of the sheer volume of you fakers, nobody takes us actual PPers seriously because they think we're you. So shut up. Sorry. Had to get that off my chest.
I'm out!
