So that tree fell over into your back yard, and a couple of branches managed to land between the fence posts on your deck without breaking them?

That's either a tribute to the soundness of their construction or your luck.

Good on you for having the noble intentions to read all the books that everybody wishes they've read, but nobody wants to read.

Yeah, the branches in the fence surprised me quite a bit.

And I'm also pretty sure I'll fail at the reading. But... I suppose it's worth trying, anyhow.

Did you know that when I lent Kael a book of Vonnegut short stories, it was the first he'd ever read a book not for school EVER? I FIND THAT CRAZY

Case in point: I tried reading Vonnegut, but didn't get through it. It wasn't exactly inaccessible, I think it's because the only time I read for fun I'm in bed and tired at the end of the day.

That is crazy... although for some reason it doesn't really surprise me about Kael. He reads science magazines all the goddamn time. Who would have the time or energy for anything else after that?
