Tonight was the first concert of Symphony Under the Sky, the Edmonton Symphony Orchestra's annual outdoor Labour Day Weekend concert series. I presume you would have known the William Tell Overture then?

Wasn't Strauss Sr's Radetzky March? ~F# ~F# ~F# E D ~F# ~F# ~F# B A AF# G B A GE F# B A AF# E C# D B A AG#ABAG F# ~F# ~F# E D ~F# ~F# ~F# B A AF# G# C# B_ or something. The background: it was written in honour of an Austrian general in the 19th century, so yes, it is appropriate to associate it with horses :-)

I played the snare drum part for it back in school orchestra at least.
