I've been writing lots of songs lately - specifically issues-based ones for stand-up comedy. Performed two new ones tonight: - The Mathieu Bastareaud Song (French rugby player who claimed he'd been assaulted by five randoms on the street in Wellington, then claimed he hit his head on a table when a surveillance camera showed him uninjured). Sung in English with a stupidly strong French accent. The crowd was easily amused by key changes accompanied by head movements. - My virulently anti-emo response to my own Manners Mall Emo Song, which has racked up a good number of views on YouTube, including from City Council staff.
