Lirin was sneezing this a.m. Still a whirling dervish, but a sneezing one. So far she has been very easy to medicate however. She doesn't even make a face. Just goes right back to bouncing. I hope the antibiotics keep this mild. The idea of her suffering the way Suki is makes my heart hurt even worse than it does now

As long as she's still bouncing, you don't have to worry! It's when she stops bouncing that you have to worry. She'll be fine, Mother, just keep giving her the meds and lots of TLKC (tender loving kitteh care) when you get home.

Are you giving them canned food? When my little tortoie was sick, the vet said giving them extra canned food helps stave off dehydration when they are sick because of the high moisture content of it. Given the prodigious snot you say they are producing, it might not hurt to get a little extra fluids in to make up for what's going out.
