My friends are saints and santa clauses and I love them all. The emotional (and other kinds) of support from you folks has been AMAZING AND AWESOME and there is no WAY on earth that Suki won't make a full recovery with people like you in her corner ( Read more... )

I'm glad to hear that she's improving a little bit. I think a confinement cage sounds like a good plan. (Is the bathroom not an option for confinement?)

I worked at a shelter for a couple of years. So many sneezing cats. Many of them never made it up for adoption. Thank you for taking such good care of your new kitties.

The guest bathroom is super tiny, and has the only shower, so I'm in and out and I think it would be hard to open the door without her darting right out and under the bed in the bedroom (right next door). I just don't know that she would be secure or comfy in the guest bath and the main bath has no door... (taking it off for space seemed like a good idea when I moved in...)

My bathroom is small, too. I agree that it would be hard to keep a cat confined in there. If thr vet doesn't have a cage, you may be able to borrow one from the shelter. Where I worked, we had tons of extra cages and puppy pens and such.

Good to read that Suki is still improving. I hope she gets to come home soon!

I just emailed you! Thanks for sending Suki's chart.

Confinement in a large cage sounds like a good idea to me - she'll be wanting to rest anyway, so giving her a safe and comfy place to do so is the best thing.

I'm sorry you weren't able to take her home yet. That's disappointing, but at least Lirin is doing better at home! Also, the eating is a really good sign (I see they were feeding her A/D - she'd have to be one sick kitty to refuse that stuff, as it's full of delicious things to tempt even the sickest and least willing eaters)
