I posted about the misguided nursing attempt, but omitted photographic evidence of same. My apologies and kitty nursing shots under the cut. Totally SFW

ROFL! Suki has the funniest expression - in my head I'm hearing this female equivalent of the bored Morris Kitty voice, drawling - very dryly - "I don't know what the hell I did to deserve this kind of treatment, but I suppose it's easier to just let the kid do it than fight about it..."
And -the original technophobe here- the only way I've been able to reliably post pics to LJ is to put them into my photobucket account first, and use the codes from there--that seems to work well enough, though.
I don't have a photobucket account. I should get one just to spare poor Jedi...
And Suki has been a veritable kitty saint with Little Lirin. Heh. They are home alone for the first full work day today (together and not locked in separate rooms. I really hope my home is intact when I get there at 6:30... They were mad at me because they got no tuna this a.m. They have been pooing way too much and it has been super, super stinky. I've decided to cut waaaay back on the "treat" feedings as a result of waking up at 3:00 a.m. to near-toxic emanations from the litter box in my master bathroom. Yeash. Bleah.
Mine get -- and ADORE -- a daily treat ration of these kitty treats called Temptations, which don't seem to have any adverse GI effects. They have them in most supermarkets and even some drug stores, and pretty much all the pet supply places, and they come in scads of flavors, and even an all-natural line that is really good. They are crunch and good for their teeth, and my three gals love them -- they line up every night around eleven and wait patiently (sometimes not so patiently) for their bedtime treats! So you might bribe them with those to get them to forgive you for the lack of tuna.
BTW, did you get the notification that I sent you something? Just wanted to make sure I did it right... O___o
I did get!! I tried replying... guess it didn't work. I just e-mailed you. You are blessed among women (but not in the biblical, you-have-to-give-birth-to-a-god-who-will-be-nailed-to-a-tree-before-40 sort of way).
I'll try the temptations. The CRAVE treats have left them thoroughly unimpressed. I hope I haven't spoiled them for anything else with the tuna. Dammit. Nina could eat that stuff all the live-long day and have no issues whatsoever. Maybe the antibiotic is partly to blame...
I think Suki's eyes in that picture look like Yuko from Xxxholic. I have only ever read one volume, but Suki looks like she should be wearing an intricate kimono and smoking a pipe ;)
OMG, funniest thing. I almost named her Yuko!! I still call her that sometimes because she reminds me of her as well!! Great minds think alike!! The only reason I didn't do it was that non-anime people might think it was "Yoko" after Yoko Ono and I couldn't bear the thought of that!
I like Yuko as a name, but I also like Suki :) I would worry that non-anime folks will think she's named "Sookie" after the Sookie Stackhouse books/True Blood TV show. But then again, my cat's name is The Cat. So I really have no room to talk about cat names ;)
