Gimme a pairing

Jan 09, 2012 23:05

and I will write three sentences. Because I need something small I can finish. I CAN FINISH THREE SENTENCES.

<3

And you can leave a word or something if you want. That works too.

And and and, hell, I will try writing pairings I have never written, why not!

Bones is going to sleep for three days - at least that's how he feels after a solid week of double shifts worked when the rest of the cadets were on Spring Break; he doesn't have time for those sorts of shenanigans if he wants to keep his hand in at patient care. Except... he could have sworn he made his bed the last time he crawled out of it. Bones twitches back the lumpy covers - Jim, pink and naked and curled around Bones's pillow is all the welcome home he needs.

Long sentences! Bones and Jim demand complex punctuation!

Oh oh I never get to hog the obvious couple in these memes!

CHARLES/ERIK

Alternatively...are you into the Greek pantheon at all? Hades/Persephone?

OH HONEY LEMME TELL YOU ABOUT HADES/PERSEPHONE. (Hades/Persephone and Eros/Psyche are pretty much my favorite stories ever.)

If he felt such a thing as guilt, Persephone would inspire it with the way she longs for the sun - her skin has paled considerably since he brought her to his bedchamber. But her smiles have grown more knowing as well, silent taunting that makes him sweat beneath his robes, even in the coldest reaches of his halls. Her mother thinks he has stolen Persephone away; Hades knows the truth of his own captivity.

She doesn't even like him, not really, not the way she likes Charles - it's easy to sip a drink with Charles because there's no threat there, no chance that the hyper privileged pretty boy is going to make her follow up their mild flirting with some kind of action. Erik, though, Erik is all action and flirting with him is flirting with danger in a way that makes her feel like she's got her fingers too close to an electric fence. He's looking at her again, watching her from across the oversized living room full of loud and unruly teenaged mutants squabbling over she doesn't even know what; Moira reaches out her fingers where he can see them and read the invitation for what it is, reaches for the current and grabs hold to see what happens.

Pike/Boyce - anger

Chris slams doors when he's angry, incapable of not broadcasting how he's feeling to his long-time partner. In contrast, Phil is silent and careful, barely present even though he's been working in their apartment all day, because there are some things you can't come back from once they're said and if he opens his mouth.... Chris bangs open cupboard doors, looking for something he can't even identify, and Phil sits like the center of a storm, waiting for the winds to calm.

Oooh..nice, now I'm going to come up with all kinds of ideas as to what they're fighting about.

Darwin/Havok, gentle. :)

The trick to Alex, the one that no one but Darwin seems to have figured out, is that he likes - no, he needs - to be touched; tactile engagement cools Havok's temper, grounds him in a way Charles's pacifist reason and Erik's militant discipline never will. When Alex's face flushes, Darwin makes a point to slip over to his side, put a gentle hand on his elbow until Alex relaxes and leans, with the barest contact, against Darwin's shoulder. Alex doesn't touch without permission and Darwin's learning new ways of giving it to him - they'll both adapt together.

Oh, this is a hug in text indeed. I was going to write a Darwin/Havok drabble about touch for another friend, but 1) ran out of time and 2) yours is wayyy better.

*hugs you gratefully*
