We'll I'm at Stoopids for one of their monthly LANs. My first since MPCON back in December. I havn't been here in a while but I figured I would give BF2 a try and hang out with Dave, he mainly suggested to me about coming. I had fun for a while, we played a little BF2 and CS. Right now it's 4am and I'm getting kind of tired, probably headed home ( Read more... )

I bought an ipod mini . it's the 4 gig . I figured hey, 1,000 songs is plenty , and I can always delete the ones I don't listen to as much . I would recommend buying one that will hold more, because I filled it up within the first 2 days and now I can't decide what songs to delete .

Bob how many gigs of mp3s do you have? I have about 27 gigs, and I bought a 20 gig ipod and it's plenty of space. Maybe it's because I don't listen to half of my music very much, but I was able to upload just about all I wanted to my IPOD and I still have plenty of space. In my opinion the IPOD minis are overrated, they're only a handful of square inches smaller than the 20 gig. Whichever one you get, you can get a nice case for it that you can strap to your arm and run/workout with, so it really doesn't matter. As far as the color ones, they look really cool, but they don't serve much of a practical purpose, and if the price hasn't dropped since they first came out (I haven't checked) it's probably not worth it. I'd suggest going with a 20 or 40 gig, depending on how much music you have and what your budget is

Well, I see it this way..

I figure the shuffle is way to small and breakable, so I might as well spend a little more to get the mini, but then again 4 or 6 gigs isn't enough so why not spend just a little more and get the 20 gig regular Ipod? Looking further if I spend a little more I can get newer technology and an extra 10 gigs worth of space with the ipod photo. So as long as I can get a good deal I'm getting the 30gig Ipod photo. That way I can hold all my music and pictures. There was a great deal on the Ipod photo at slickdeals the other day but I was 1 day too late and the deal ened, bummer. So I'm set on the 30gig Ipod photo. My brother gets a 10 percent off cupon from bestbuy soon so I'll probably be using that.

but one of the worst things about an Ipod reg/photo is the backplate. It's made out of reflective steel and scratches really easy. Overtime it gets so messed up. I never understand the poor design of it. That is exactly the reason I'm getting one of those rubber things. Best invention for the Ipod.

Yeah the backplate scratches easily. I actually bought two cases, one aluminum one for regular use that basically makes the thing bombproof, and one fabric-ish velcro type case for when I want to strap it to my arm for working out. Both were good investments. Sounds like you're on the right track~~~ I didn't know the Photo had 10 extra gigs, I guess it probably is worth the money then.
