[Heather feels disconnected from the world, and Fang is one of her anchors. Meanwhile, Fang knows that her time is fast running out, and that, sooner than she would like, she'll be leaving Heather behind.]

[ She says it almost breathlessly, gripping the communicator tightly as she sits back, eyes never wavering from the image. ] "I am so not talking to you."
[ Fang laughs, and if she notices how Heather swipes at her eyes with the back of her wrist, she says nothing about it. ]

Heather: [ She catches the weapon with her free hand, putting away the pipe for future use. ] "If this is a test, I'd better be getting extra credit."
Fang: [ She laughs, making her way over to Heather's side. ] "I'll make sure you get a gold star, don't you worry. Ready?"
Heather: [ She looks over with an easy, confident grin that matches Fang's. ] "Let's go."
