Once upon a time, the cheap fun thing to do when we were broke was to go for a drive. Then it just became the thing to do. And then, then it wasn't cheap anymore.

Yeah... I used to drive endlessly everyday just because I could. There's no way I could afford to get back into that habit. Just driving around town is too expensive.

I need a motorcycle.

Yeah, it has become the time when it would make sense for EVERYONE to get a motorcycle... cheap gas, safer for all bikers if everyone is on bikes, idiot drivers wouldn't be able to ride, or they'd die, leaving the road for the rest of us.

I'm getting a bike when I'm 30!

They say now that we're conditioned to pay over $4 a gallon that we'll never see it below $2 again :(

Very sad, considering one of my favourite things to do was to gas up the car, pack a backpack, and drive somewhere and have a weekend adventure.

I'm the last generation that got to drive with relatively cheap gas. My friends 5 years younger than me have never paid less than 2.50 or so. Sad.

I used to keep a bag packed.
