Jordan stared at Kiera. He stood and walked to the bed. Jordan sat down beside Kiera, and began to rub her back. As Kiera's tears slowly subsided he looked for something to say.
He wanted to ask her if she was sure the baby was his, but he all ready knew the answer. Kiera may have many admirers but she was faithful. Unlike I was he thought. She hadn't dated seriously since their break up. Her average relationship lasted a day. So of course the baby was his.
Kiera sat up slowly, with Jordan's help. The tears had sparked vinrance back into her eyes. She smiled wearily to him, as the tears brimmed again. Kiera brushed then aside as Jordan looked at her.
"I'm sorry K, I have to go..."
His voice had lost it's edge, and he suddenly sounded tired. Kiera wanted him to stay, but understood he needed time and space. She nodded slowly.
"I'll visit..."
Jordan stood and walked to her bedroom door. He placed his hand on the knob and turned back to her.
"Promise you'll call me if you need me."
Kiera squeezed her eyes close, and bit her bottom lip. She opened her now tear-filled eyes and looked at Jordan. Kiera nodded again.
"I promise."
Her voice was soft and shaky. Jordan let himself out of her room, and closed the door behind him. He walked slowly to her front door. Taking one last look around he opened the front door.
------------------------------------------------------------------------
Anastasia and Mikail nearly jumped out of their skin as the door opened before they could knock. Anastaia's good mood faultered as she stared at Jordan. She hadn't expected him to still be around when they arrived.
"Kiera's in her room."
Jordan said curtly. His voice was once again hard and cold. Jordan walked past them muttering angrilly. Anastasia brushed her hair off her shoulders and turned to Mikail.
"Looks like that went well."
Mikail nodded simply, but his eyes held the truth. They were clouded by his thoughts. Mikail pushed Kiera's apartment door open wider, and held it for Anastasia.
Anastasia walked into the living room and smiled. The room was done in a romantic theme, but the colours were dark. The floor and curtains were black, and her velvet-esque couch was deep red. In the far corner was a cherry desk, with a black lab-top on it.
Anastasia walked to the cherry desk, and smiled at the fresh roses. Bending over slightly she enjoyed the fragrance. Roses, and Night Blooming Jasmine were Kiera's favourites.
Mikail smiled watching Anastasia. He closed the door and walked over to her. Lightly placing his hands on Anastasia's shoulders he turned her towards Kiera's room.
Kiera smiled as Anastasia and Mikail walked in. She was sitting up in her bed, her face tear-stained. Anastasia hugged Kiera gently. Kiera smelled of honey, amber, and spices. The combination was very seductive and this was the first time Kiera had worn it since her break up with Jordan.
"Jordan called us about an hour ago. he said you passed out."
Anastasia's voice held concern for Kiera. They were best friends, and considered eachother sisters.
"Are you okay?"
Kiera smiled weakly, tears brimming once again.
"You two should sit down."
She said quietly motioning towards the chaise couch against the wall, next to her bed. Mikail and Anastasia sat on the couch and waited for her to continue.
"Anastasia, Mikail... I .. I am with child.."
"You're going to be a great mother!!"
Anastasia exclaimed before she could think to say anything else. A few tears escaped Kiera, and she smiled.
"I.. I want you to.. be the godparents."
Anastasia stood andwent to Kiera. She hugged her tightly as Mikail chuckled.
"You two really are like twins."
Anastasia blushed as she looked to Mikail, then back to Kiera. Kiera looked at Mikail.
"What do you mean?"
Mikail smiled, but didn't say anything. Anastasia coughed, regaining Kiera's attention.
"I'm gonna have a baby"
Enthusiasm and joy filled Anastasia's voice. Kiera's eyes lit up and she sought for somthing to say. Unable to come up with anything she laughed as she hugged Anastasia.
"That's wonderful Ana!"
She smiled mischeviously and lokoed at Mikail, She half smiled to him.
"I feel bad for you though... two pregnant women... ouch."
All three of them laughed. Mikail stood, and joined them on the bed.
"So, how did it go with Jordan?"
Kiera's smile faultered, then vanished. Her eys dimmed, and her voice became far away as she spoke slowly.
"He seemed to handle the news fairly well. He needed time."
Kiera's voice lowered at the last comment. Anastasia hugged her gently.
"It's okay, huni. He'll come around eventually. I mean, you're carrying his child!"
Kiera gave a weary smile, and decided she didn't want to talk about it.
"So Anastasia, how far along are you?"
Anastasia looked to Kiera and saw the pain in her eyes. The pain that Anastasia saw more and more as of late. The pain that tore her apart, and made her want to move the world for Kiera. And She hated Jordan for that.
"About three weeks, how about you?"
Kiera stared at her.
"Same...."
The girls laughed. Anastasia winked to Kiera.
"We'll go through it all together."
"Yeah."
They laughed again.
