"Am I socially awkward?....does my voice sound funny? Do I make weird faces or look shifty-eyed? Do I have a chance with that girl?-no, nevermind...." these are the things that weigh on my mind almost every second of every day; especially at work when I see newer people getting hired and adapting quickly enough to be invited out to post-shift ( Read more... )

you haven't posted in a long time!

If the people around you right now can't "be bothered to give a fuck" maybe you need to escape from the people around you?!? :)

Speaking of "sounding funny" I saw a movie recently and it reminded me that you don't live in the midwest so don't have a midwest accent. >_< I never thought of that before.

I know this has nothing to do with your post, but, just from how you write, the words you use, and the sentences you form, I can tell you're very intelligent. I know what you mean by not being invited by co-workers or classmates... my boyfriend struggles with the exact same thing. He doesn't understand why. I think it's because he can be awkward and too loud and it pushes people away. Maybe you do the same thing? It's mainly because of his ADHD I think and that he's not great with words, and he's shy when he doesn't know people. People like me, though, have no problems in social situations. it's just who you are and you shouldn't get mad about it. My boyfriend got a great gal even though he's the way he is ;) I'm sure you'll find a great gal too! It's too bad people at work don't invite you places. They're missing out.
