Pregnancy Shoot

The goal of this shoot was to still make it look like a fashion shoot and to show off her belly. So, while we weren’t shooting maternity clothes we still wanted to show a pregnant woman that was fashionable. Ok given very few people are going to walk around with their belly exposed but I’m sure you get the idea. Oh, and she's at seven months.

It was a total fluke that I found her. I was looking for blonds and came across her port. I don't have any pregant woman so I contacted her to see if she wanted to shoot.

I love the concept, but I think I might like a 3/4 profile more than a front-on shot, because the front-on shot flattens her belly so if you didn't tell me she was pregnant, I wouldn't know.

I love the colors, cripness, and clarity of the first two, though and her hands and arms are very graceful and expressive.

I agree. The one she's using on her modelmayhem profile makes her pregnancy much more obvious. (Looks like it's from the same shoot, too.) She's just so tiny that she barely looks pregnant at all in these.

That said, I love number 3, and number one is also lovely. There's something a little awkward about her stance in number two, and I don't like the look on her face quite as much as in one.

Hee hee, I thought you were psycholibrarian at first since on a few occasions she's commented without signing in. Yeah, that is the sort of bummer to the front facing images. She’s not big enough yet so her stomach just looks a bit funny. There will be more to some though where it’s more obvious.

I think I have a few more versions of #3 too that will get edited. She selected this one so that’s why it’s finished, but there are others I think I prefer.
