Neck Accoutrement project: Shoot #6 - Finished?

Another neck shoot and another one with a question mark attached. The more I look at the image the more I like it. And there were a potential few others. Unfortunately we were rather disappointed in the makeup. It wasn’t too bad for this shoot but we did a second one that is just not worth talking about. I think a little more should have been done

i like the way her face looks in this shot. the thing i would change would be to remove the bra/top she's wearing, either digitally or actually. once you see it, you can't NOT see it and it draws some attention away from the necklace, at least for me it does

Unfortunately that would take way to much editing and I think would just be difficult because of all the whispies. I know, I agree that it would have looked better without that.

i can only say that i didn't notice it the first time around but even now that i see it, it's really not killing the whole image for me at all.

it just stuck out to me and kept catching my eye as i looked at the neck feathers

I don't think the bra is that distracting - actually, I think Carol's tattoo is a lot more distracting - it took me a few minutes to figure out that that's what it was!

The makeup is definitely a problem though. Definitely washed out, and beyond that it's sadly not very flattering to Carol because it makes her look a little old.

I'm not crazy about the makeup....for a number of reasons.

Firstly, your mua should have used more contouring or at least COLOR...I mean the peacock feathers are absolutely beautiful!!!! She should have added a dash of green in the eyes to be more consistent with the look and feel of the feathers....I mean there is no texture in her face at all! bah!

Secondly I think the makeup done here makes the model look malnourished...I want to feed her a burger! Though I think it's the makeup that is making her look like that since I've seen shots of this model before and she has a beautiful bone structure.

I don't know....those are just my initial thoughts...

Yeah, we were both extrenely dissapointed in her. I'm almost tempted to give the image to the model to see what she does makeup wise. Photo retouching is what she does for a living. So... it could be interesting. Not to mention one of the rare times I would do that :D I like the other elements.

I agree. The model has some great pics on her port and has one of those faces that has great structure. I am suprised at MUA. She has great stuff too. It looks like she has no face make-up whatsoever and the eyes have no punch. She also needed some eyeleiner or lashes.

Isn't it weird! After this shoot I started to question if those are really her images or if maybe she "assited" on those shoots.
