I really should've paid attention in the survival classes at school.
Then again, those were "what-to-do-if-you-get-stuck-in-the-forest-at-night" classes, and this is no forest.
It has enough bugs to be, though!
Can minors rent apartments here? How do they go about doing that?

I do recommend our school system, as well; if you choose to enroll, you'll receive free housing and a monthly stipend, so that you have the liberty to concentrate on your education.
I assume that you don't remember me, if you don't remember... others. My name is Sephiroth; I'm with the city military and patrol forces, and I seem to have been nominated to the city welcoming committee as well. Is there anything I can assist you with? Finding food or shelter, or reacquainting yourself with the world?
Although, come to think of it, Lady Yuuko's other welcoming committee nominees were much smaller, cuter, and less intimidating, not to mention significantly more pink. If I distress you, perhaps I could find one of the others and point her your direction instead?

School?? Here, too? Ugh, I guess I should be responsible and enroll... but right now it's summer break, right? The beginning of summer break? I'm still cool?
Well thanks for the welcome. I'm good on finding stuff. ...And you're not that scary. Kinda cool, actually. Except for the part that you seem to know me and claim I don't remember. I'm gonna assume you're going to explain that. Or that other guy will.

This world's school system does have benefits over the structure I've heard is prevalent in most others -- here, you do receive the tangible benefits of housing and financial rewards in exchange for putting up with the educational process, as opposed to being required to attend school and complete homework without any kind of reward attached. I know it's not much comfort when school itself rolls around, but it could be worse ( ... )

Thanks for all the info about school, though. I'll keep it all in mind.
