ljreview -- kids, this is just retarded. what DUMB criteria & even DUMBER reviews. (eg - "Her journal is overall grammatical. However she puts words in that I'm pretty sure aren't words.. like gayer? Is that a word? ... She has good variety. She talks about her life and things that spark her interest. She talks about sexually explicit things." -- ok, ( Read more... )

ljreview is a little silly sometimes.
for instance, i can across one reviewer with a colour scheme and no user pictures,
but she took off points because
"the user needs different pictures" and
"the colours are ugly."

but it is all in fun.
and if you don't want your journal reviewed,
than you don't have to submit it.

i know. come to think of it, ljreview itself is visually shitty.

i think im gonna submit my journal for review though. it'd be amusing :)

Hey there. I found you through Tierra's journal, and I just had to comment on LJ Review.

That has to be the single most rejected thing I have ever seen on-line. HampsterDance has more redeeming qualities than that festering pile of nonsense. Every single journal that they give a good review to has huge neon graphics (ripped directly from TonyStone with little-to-no altering whatsoever), fade-out cursors, a few dozen links to other trendy journals with no content of any real value, and a layout that crashes my computer. Its like they've completely forgotten that a journal is about content, not flashy design.

LJ Awards is an even bigger joke. There, a handful of self-designated uber-designers get to pick and choose who they think is wonderful, and who's worthless. And I feel bad saying that, because I have friends on the "board" there, but its all a big joke ( ... )

i agree with you 100%. you said it all. good job, dear :) & no, i enjoyed your rant very much, nodding stupidly the whole time, dont be so self-conscious abt it!

LJAwards... mmmmm, i'll have to check it out. omg, do you think i have a chance at winning, omg omgomgomgomgg, iwant to win!!!! something!!

ofc i dont mind. added u back in fact, cus your journal's so... hmm, random? it made me laugh out loud. =)
