The room was dark ,illuminated only by a small bulb that caused numerous shadows to dance across the tiny room.Two figures were standing in the middle of the room.
“Hell no!” a voice broke through the silence. “This is not supposed to happen…Why the hell do you even have this, I thought mother threw this away “the owner of the voice declared accusingly, staring at a red box.
“You can’t throw away treasures like this.”A much calmer voice whispered.”Look at it, the prophecy is about to be fulfilled. Remember what gran gran told us
‘The Gods will rise, neither from West, North nor South. Their voices will soar high. Bringing forth happiness and joy to millions.However,when chaos ensues, lives are threatened,the prophecy will be fulfilled. It must be given to its chosen owner.It would guide the way to discovering the most precious thing to the owner’
“But you know, I always though Gran gran was delusional. Growing senile in old age coz that prophecy makes no sense.” This time, the voice was calmer.
“Hey Gran gran was a respected wise woman; a lot of her prophecies come true. She was wise beyond her years”
“Oh you mean a hundred years.”
“Jeez,why did I even ask you to come here?”
“Because of that-“pointing to the ring.
The legendary ring of discovery, which had been a simple silver band for the last 100 years now, had a name engraved upon it in bold letters.
