Here is some stuff I made recently-ish.

A finger monster is made of many fingers.

This is the first thing I actually crocheted, it was pretty fun and quick once I got the hang of it. It's filled with poly and it's really soft and squishy. Kitties love it!

I wanted to make a robot about 2/3rds the size of the first one, for xeyr. I was also listening to the song Metal Heart by Garbage...so Metalheart the Red Robot came into existence.

Now I have a couple of knitting dilemmas. I have some beautiful wool I want to use to knit a pair of fingerless mitts/wristwarmers/gauntlets and a vest, but I'm not sure which patterns to use.

This is the wool I want to use for the vest - it's a gorgeous soft 75% wool and 25% mohair blend called Mystique, from Bendigo Woollen Mills. I have 400g and it's a fairly standard 8ply.

The Knitty patterns I'm thinking of are:
1. Boogie
2. Honeycomb
3. Leftovers (but only using one colour)

Leftovers is probably the easiest, but I really love Boogie and Honeycomb. I've never done cabling before, so maybe this is a good time to start?

The wool I want to use for the mitts/warmers is a thick raspberry wool, which I used to for a beanie a while ago. I adore this wool, it's so quick and easy to knit and it's warm but not scratchy at all. I forgot the name of it though, I got it ages ago.

The Knitty patterns I like are:
1. Dashing
2. Voodoo
3. Fetching

I've never knitted gloves/mitts before either, so I should probably start with something easy.

Decisions, decisions!

Also, I need a craft/knitting icon...
