Midnight, the stars and you...

Friday afternoon involved more walking around than I would have liked. At about 12 PM, I walked for about 45 minutes to Geoff's place, only to find out he was at Josh's place. Go figure. His mom decided she'd drive me to Josh's place, and we met them about halfway, haha. Geoff, your new look ist sehr sexig.

We hung out at Josh's for a while before heading to Kasey's. It would appear Geoff had never heard Flogging Molly before, which surprised me. We left when Josh refused to put on his makeup for us. LAME.

We surprised Kasey at her place of residence, where she was doing... um... oh yeah, not a damn thing. :P We put our best foot forward to try and prevent someone from coming, but our efforts were in vain. On a side note, Kasey's mom kicks ass. She was going through WinMX, and all of a sudden she throws on Iron Maiden. FUCKING RIGHT. She also offered me a ticket to a Motley Crue concert, the details for which I need. The three of us went to McDonalds, then decided to part ways until the concert. I only had about a half hour to get home, when who should arrive but Mr. Caleb Flaro. How fucking random, but lucky for me. :P He gave me a ride home, and I gave him details to see the show that night.

We bused down to the Embassy, and when we got there, Matt was waiting for us, surrounded by his usual horde of pussy. It would also appear Robyn Buckler was going to be joining us, so that took the evening down a peg. Bob and company were soon to arrive. We knew who it was right away, no one else has checkerboards for arms. :P

I tell you, the Whippet Lounge was fucking tiny compared to the other place. The back door was open from time to time, so it was pretty nippular in there. We couldn't find a seat when we walked in, so we stood until a bunch of people got up to greet their friends, then we stole their seats, ha ha. The first band wasn't too great, but Jorvik and Forty Cent Fix were pretty impressive. I still think it's too bad Jorvik didn't have any merchandise, I would have bought some.

Then it was time for Fight Luke's performance, our little Josh's second performance. He did his little stage dance for us, which made the show. They did pretty well for their second show, despite some technical difficulties. A mosh broke out about halfway through, the first Geoff and I had ever been in. Even though I almost lost my balance once or twice, I'll probably do it again if I have the stamina for it. :P We left soon after they finished. There was another band, but fuck them, they should have gone on earlier, hah.

Saturday afternoon, my best pal of 11 years, Chris, came to visit me. We didn't plan an eventful afternoon, so we just played some Vice City as we caught up. To make the afternoon complete, we watched The Shining. That movie gets better every time I see it. The first time I watched it, it took me a while to understand the ending, but Chris got it right off the bat. Figures. :P I asked him to put in a good word for me with his folks, and if all goes well, I should be visiting his place again this summer. Of course, if we go to Laurie's again, we're staying at her house the whole time, and possibly tying me to a chair.

Today was Easter, of course, which I suppose deserves a mention. Not only because of Jesus and the actual purpose of Easter, but also because I made $25 and had a damned good ham for dinner. Also, my Polak bredrin Adam introduced me to WinAMP radio, which I'm listening to right now. thxu ;d

Matt wrote some gnarly shit in a recent LJ entry, so I decided to steal his idea and write something of my own. Just because I'm an asshole like that.

The Journeyman Gets No Regard

A torn flag blowing in the breeze
A noble sign that no one sees
A journeyman once honored rightfully
A history lost on the simple mind
The eyes once clear since withered blind
The truth of the matter left behind
The pages written long ago
The bloody garments left for show
The gentle soul buried far below
The bravery when times were hard
The monument falls into shards
The journeyman gets no regard

lass wir ficken
