It would appear that I'm long overdue for an update. I posted something about the Crue concert, but that seems to have disappeared, so it looks pretty bad for me, doe'nit?
Last night was spent at Geoff's place, for another night of movie watchin'. It has evolved from a good idea for the weekend to a tradition. Our lineup of movies featured The Sixth Sense (which was on TV, and we stopped about halfway through to watch Family Guy), The Shining (of course), The Crow 1 & 3, and This Is Spinal Tap. Before hand, I showed Geoff some of R+'s visual majesty, namely Lichtspielhaus. Josh showed up about halfway through The Shining with a story about beating the shit out of some guy who pissed him off at the concert, and leaving him for dead. He was pretty excited, until he fell asleep an hour later. It's a good thing too, The Crow was the kind of movie that him being conscious would ruin. :P
Dance Dance Revolution is one of those "don't knock until you try" things, I've found. Not even two months ago, I was critical about DDR and its fanbase. I'm glad I pulled my head out of my ass long enough to give it a shot. Thanks to Konami, I've dropped from around 200 pounds to 185 in about 5 weeks, which is better than you can get with a lot of exercise programs. That, and I'm getting a taste of that "feeling better about oneself" thing, which is a nice change. Sooner or later I'll be able to do consecutive sets of pushups and situps and tone my upper body. Yeeyee. :P
I've discovered that some people write off DDR as nerdy, but with no arguments other than the fact it's a video game, which I find rather ignorant. To reiterate, don't knock it until you try it.
It would appear there are only 17 school days remaining, most of which will prove to be an utter waste of time, especially in Media Arts. Kasey, you know what I'm talking about. :P
