With the election encroaching upon American society like a wolf stalking its prey just before the kill, I thought I would give you all my views on the current "hot button" topics.

Pro-life vs. Pro-choice: I would generally classify myself as pro-choice.  Now, I'm sure you Catholics are up in arms saying "BABY KILLER!!! HERETIC!!! DIE!! BURN IN ( Read more... )

What do you mean Life in prision is cheaper than capitol punishment? What costs more a 50 cent bullet to the head or thirty years of food?

exactly what i said. the country isnt so barbaric as you put abullet in their head and theyre done with. First of its not a bullet, they use more human, more expensive methods. Also, they not done with ocne theerri ead. there isa ll sorts of legal proceeds to go on with after theyre dead. plus people fight harder wwhen theyve died. also if it was proven that the person was really n ot guilty after theyve died. the kind of repriomands the gov would have to pay. the costs of lawsuits of peopel trying to prove their loved one wasnt guilty, or simply to get back at the gov for killing htme. no onme wants to loose a loved one. not the person who lost one to a murderer, and not sdomeone who loved the murdere. you make it sound simple its not. in the end they cost the smame. so what i was saying is that the arument that capital punishment is cheaper, is a stupid one.

Pro-Choice: It's a women's issue.

Pro-Gay-Marriage: Live and let live.

Pro-Life-in-Prison: Some people deserve to die, but I still don't think that gives us the right to kill them. And I'm not sure about the financial figures of Life in Prison (vs) Capital Punishment, but I know it costs a lot to kill someone, because of all the trials and appeals. At the very least, it costs a lot more than a $.50 bullet.

Legalize Pot: After hearing Adam Kauffman's essay, I would have to agree with this. Not that I would ever smoke pot.

For the Legalize pot issue, I say that most of the Turff wars that he described are over more serious drugs like harione, crack/cocaine and PCP. Legalizing pot would be bad because you'd have high teenagers driving to their friends house to get more high, and that's bad.
