I definitely agree with you about Shaun of the Dead, it was hilarious. I liked Garden State a bit more than you did apparently, though what I liked best about it was it's soundtrack.

Yeah, kinda like Empire Records. A whiff of a movie, but the soundtrack was great. Wish I hadn't sold it.

We watched Rules of Attraction this weekend, and also Margaret Cho's latest concert film, Cho Revolution. It was a great weekend for snuggling on the couch watching movies!

Rules of Attraction was kind of weird, but interesting. The guy that played Dawson on Dawson's Creek totally broke with his typecasting on that one. Cho Revolution was pretty funny, but I actually liked her previous one, Notorious C.H.O. better.

And I agree about Shaun of the Dead. Fuckin' hilarious! :)

i agree with pansauce that i think the whole point of garden state was the soundtrack.. the writer (the scrubs dude) said that he came up with the soundtrack before he even came up with the movie.. so the whole movie is basically based on these emo indie songs that he believes are deep and meaningful.. i thought the movie was cute and i like the music.. i have not seen shaun of the dead yet although i have heard its amazing..

At the New York premiere of Easy Rider in 1969, Peter Fonda and Dennis Hopper ran into Andy Warhol and asked him what he thought of the movie. Andy said, in his guileless Andy way, "You guys made a movie about your record collection. How great."
