Tonight was the Night Out Against Crime in our neighborhood. I am pretty sure it's a nationwide thing, but ours is right in the baseball field at the end (beginning?) of Hadley, so we went. I went with the Riley's last year, since Brandon had band practice ( Read more... )

It's part of the house. There is a small landing off the kitchen. Left is the back door, right is the basment door, and straight ahead are these two double doors of a cupboard (used as storage by the pervious owners) that became my liquor cabinet!!

Umm, I actually like the white and the colors of everything. I would mirror the back and inside doors, but that may be too costly, hmmm... rainbow splatter paint? I just love the color, but I came by to say;

Have you thought about putting those things above the first shelf so you can slide your glasses on it? and that would leave room for your shot glasses under them. Then the top shelf could be the place for your drink books. Would you want to make the doors of the cabinet glass? or maybe a translucent door or covering? Maybe just part of it?

Hell girl, you may even want to knock out the shelves and put in something else -- different shelving? I like the mirror idea Jacqui had. Or you could paint a lighter color over all and a darker color for the back?

I dunno. What would Christopher Lowell do? ;)

I can't wait to help you spruce it up, though!

I'm disappointed you didn't take a picture of the corvette beside your mommywagon!

And I like the way you rearranged your bedroom!

Speaking of hot-air balloons, I was out in the backyard the other night, hitting golf balls, and there was like 13 or 14 balloons in the sky!!! WTH? I mean, I expect that when it's Freedom Weekend Aloft and they cover the sky with hot-air balloons, but this was a random weekend! It was really cool...I should've taken a picture.

You should have taken a pic!

Sorry I didn't take one of the Vette - it just didn't excite me like that mommy wagon.

I'm unsure about the bedroom. I like the bed placement - we need to get rid of the art deco dresser (not RID of it, but move it on out). I want to get two old dressers from the antique place down the street and paint them white. I am sure two old antique all-wood dressers could be had for $80 or less. She gives me fantastic deals. And certainly better quality than that pressboard shit they sell nowadays. I donn't think Iwant to do the canopt thing...but something needs done, fo sho.

Those sliding things are a fantastic idea. Where would I get those? Any ideas? Never seen them at Lowes or Home Depot, but you never know.

I don't think I want to actually REPLACE the doors or shelves - as far as I know they are all original, and we try to keep the stuff that hasn't been messed with untouched. We're purists like that. ;)

Christopher Lowell would clutter it up! Crazy bastard.

What fun picks, and I envy your liquor cabinet!

You should slap some pretty shelving paper in it that will go with the yellow. That would spice it up for sure!
