Had my non stress test this afternoon....basically they hook you up to a monitor and watch baby's heartrate and the heartrate needs to get faster when she moves, etc. to show that she is happy in there ( Read more... )

yeah...i just don't wanna get my hopes up now....b/c like the girl I work with was having contractions (that she could actually feel even) for like days! So it's still quite possible I think that it'll be awhile. But at least there's a glimmer of hope now!

true... especially because she hasn't dropped yet, right? does that have to happen before you go into labor/water breaks, etc. ?

No, you don't have to...sometimes they drop during labor itself...sometimes they may not drop (can't fit etc) in which case you'd go into labor, they wouldn't drop, and you'd need a csection...and sometimes you can't tell when you drop (like my mom said she never looked like she dropped at all with either me or my brother), in which case I could have dropped today for example and not know it just by looking.
