Anyone want to help me plan my hypothetical future?

I got marked down on an assignment for not including my teaching context. Since I don't have a teaching context, I need to make one up. This is proving to be rather disorienting for me.

But I desperately need the points in the class.

Maybe I will enlist a friend who teaches in NC...

You can't change the past, only learn from it and crawl forward out of it. I don't think anyone can really help me with this assignment, anyway. I just need to throw some stuff onto a paper and stick with it.

What was the assignment?

It's a vision statement. Basically, it covers 5 things:

1. Why we teach reading.
2. Where we teach reading.
3. What we do to teach reading. (tasks/activities).
4. How do we work around context-based constraints.
5. How do we assess whether or not our students have fulfilled our vision.

So the problem, then is that you actually DON'T teach reading?

Have you ever taught reading? Or do you want to do so in the future?
