I was in the Ithaca commons playing some guitar while Ana was lying down next to me listening. A peace officer? came up to us and said she wasn't allowed to sleep in the commons. She said she wasn't sleeping, and she wasn't cause she just had a pretty long conversation with someone 4 or 5 minutes earlier, and he said that he wasn't going to cut ( Read more... )

I sure can't help you out with a good reason why sleeping outside is illegal. It's a retarded law/ordinance in my point of view.

I'm just chiming in to say that the cops didn't write the law/ordinance. If you want to get it changed, you'd need to go through the local government procedures (I have no idea what those are).

I'm just sayin that "fuck the police" might be a little harsh and misguided in this instance. I'd say "fuck whoever voted for that retarded ordinance."

I do say fuck the people who voted for that inhumane ordinance And fuck the dude who decided to wear a gun and come up to my chick and tell her that she couldn't lay down and take a nice rest; who is he protecting?
