7. Sweet, or at least not all that unusual. Eroticism comes from mystery, more often than not. Speaking of which, I'm starting a monthly quick sketch workshop for illustrators and the like utilizing alt models and burlesque performers. We'll have the models posing in their costumes and hopefully it'll all turn out something like this or this (links not entirely worksafe, I guess). We start in July, details still to be firmed up at a later date. Should I keep you apprised?

Yeah, that sounds fun! Hopefully I won't be too outclassed by the other illustrators!

What inspired the workshop?

There's a drawing club out in LA called Hades that does a similar kind of thing--my husband is a fan of several illustrators who attend regularly and post drawings from the sessions on their blogs. Sadly, I'm mostly organizing this so that my husband has cool models to draw :) But there's no reason not to share the coolness around! Actually, we're going to have to, since cool models are not cheap. Still, at $10 per artist, it's a bargain. We'll have two models per session--one alt model (gothic or fetish--leather, latex, vinyl, corsets and the like) and one burlesque model (pin-up style--feathers, ruffles, sparkles). We'll start with one model, do a few 5 minute poses to warm up, then some 10 and 15 minute poses and then a 25 minute pose to finish. Then we repeat with the other model. Should be fun!

I have had writer’s block for a year. I’m beginning to think I’m done.

Do you mean, you're beginning to think you're done writing, or beginning to think you're done your writers block? Hopefully the latter, because I love your writing and although you have no real stake in my day to day life, it would make me very unhappy if you didn't update anymore. I think just about everything you write is hilarious.

Thank you. I did mean "done writing," and it's one of those jokes with a hidden kernel of panicked truth.

That said, I'm trying to get my brain back into writing mode, so we'll see. But thanks for the kind words - seriously.
