Laugh in the face of the absurd and painful has been my motto for years. It is not a reflex defense mechanism, but rather a testament to the unique sense of humor gifted to me by my parents. Thank you!

I retold it to my 18 year old daughter last night when I was thinking about my entry. She laughed. I think it was more that she was laughing at me than the joke. She followed it up with "Mom, I love you!"
Absurdity must have been the theme of my parenting. :)

LOL!! My boys, ages 4 and 2, are much cooler than me. They think absurd singing and dancing is....absurd. I'm totally trying this joke out on them!
