See, Karkat says he doesn't believe in the Ancestors, but I was trying to figure out if that means he doesn't know anything about his - or because he DOES know about his, and rejects him, and hence the disbelief?? At any rate, he definitely has plenty in common with him, with the RAGE and guilt complex to end all guilt complexes (also terrible blasphemous laughter at Troll Jegus dying with a Vast Expletive. ahahahahah!)
I find it incredibly sweet that Redglare was a follower of the Signless, though. Somehow.Yes this! Awww

Yeah, I totally agree about Karkat. I think this is a reason why he rejects it, whether he knows about it or not. Even if he doesn't know the whole story, he probably knows something. Though I don't suppose he's been looked up by his faithful, simply because he doesn't have worshipers scattered every which way. ^^
Mindfang knew about the Sufferer even though she wasn't a believer, and even though the government was suppressing the information, so I got the impression that it had happened during her lifetime. Or at least not too long ago. And then the Summoner wasn't supposed to be born for several hundred sweeps, but he was to become her redrom partner and her killer. Highbloods live for a long time. And Redglare was quite young... So the Subjugglator could definitely have been involved with the Sufferer's execution even before Redglare was born.
you can't call Karkat's Ancestor KarkatI can if I want to? :P

I guess so!! Now we have the names of almost all of the Ancestors, too...
...if Nepeta knew of her Ancestor, that would explain her thing for Karkat...(or else it explains it anyway, since the trolls all seem to reflect their Ancestors without trying...)
...also why Kanaya is so motherly toward him...
...also I kind of want the full epic novel form of the Ancestors' story and am rather hoping some enterprising fan gets on writing that! XD

This explains the story about the Expatriate over here!
And I guess that means Mindfang was indeed alive during the Signless' time.
