Pedro Update

Many, many thanks to those that posted in my last entry and are sending well-wishes to Pedro. He'll need them, and his human is very touched, as well.

So, what happened, exactly? It still just boggles my mind because it happened so *fast*, but here goes my summary.

I really hope you can find out who the owners are, because they need to be given hell.

Twice I've been around a dog who has been attacked by another and while one was worse than the other I don't think either of them were this bad.

HOLY FUCKING CRAP. I'm so glad Pedro's going to pull through this, hopefully with a minimum of physical and emotional scarring.

SO many hugs for you, and for Pedro when he's well enough. What a scary thing to have happen.

Wow. I'm glad you stayed so level-headed, seriously; I probably would've ended up kicking the other dog or something, and I'm betting it wouldn't have ended well. I'm glad he seems to be doing as well as he can, though, I'll keep y'all in my thoughts. And man, I hope the police find the owners before you do.

I really, really, really dislike people who advocate for keeping pitbulls as pets because they're such great "family" dogs. These people need to understand that they are bred to kill other dogs. It doesn't matter if they've been trained to; everyone has seen a dog's instincts snap in suddenly when a beagle points or a retriever chases or a collie nips to get you back in line.

I'm glad that Pedro will be okay.
