If there is anything from my childhood With Which One Shall Not Muck About, it is the Muppets. Whether we're talking Sesame Street, Muppet Show, Fraggle Rock, or more recent shows like Behind the Lions and Bear's Big Blue House, there is something about the Muppets that immediately makes me a six year old kid in footie pajamas. I get to see it on Friday - it comes out here then. I am SO EXCITED. The Muppets are right up there with Mr Rogers for me. I have the same outlook as you. The "G" song, with Grover, and "Everyone Makes Mistakes" are songs I routinely break out with at work. And "It's Not Easy Being Green" is a song that will make me cry every single time I hear it. Even the crappy Glee version.

If it stank or skewed too far one way or the other, I would be sad about telling people, but I would. I have before.

Being able to recommend it makes my inner self flap her spiritual hands in front of her virtual chest and hypothetically exclaim the rather elegant phrase, "Eeeeeeee!"

...Who am I kidding, I did all that stuff at the movie.

Wah! I have to wait until 2012 to get to see it (week after Valentine's Day)! But OMG are we going to be camping in line for it the day it opens. (Entirely unnecessary but that's how much the whole household wants to see this one. Even more than we wanted to see TinTin and that was A LOT.)

Jason Segel IS a Muppet. In a good way.

I appreciate the thumbs-up. I wasn't sure I wanted to go see this, because I was sure it was going to corporate-ruin all my childhood memories.
