Here come the Bleckers, a family with one elder and three teens still.

Since we last left them, it seems that life at the Bleckers' house has gotten better. With Evan days away from heading off to college, he's decided to be the "bigger man" in his eyes and tie up some loose ends. Or, rather, to fulfill his want to have his first kiss before he's a young adult. It would be rather insulting for a Romance sim so attractive as him to not get their first kiss before college. Luckily, the chance comes when Evan brings a friend, Michelle Trottier, home from school.
Michelle and Evan get along splendidly and Michelle would be lying if she said she wasn't interested in the Blecker boy. Then again, who wasn't? Although Evan didn't have the most desirable personality, that was hardly what anyone was looking for these days. He was hot and suave and that was all that mattered, right? Well, to Michelle and a good percent of the girls at Evan's school, at least.
Evan gave Michelle a little makeover and really lured her in. Being the natural romancer he was, it was almost too easy. Michelle fell for every line and every flirt. Evan was really turning on the charm and all those hours spent practicing charisma and romance in the mirror had definitely paid off for him. He certainly wouldn't fail as a Romance sim.
And then he went in for the kill--and it was a total success. Evan didn't even have to worry about Michelle getting too attached to him (or so it seemed), because she was really only there for the action as well. For whatever reason, she hadn't been too popular with guys lately, so she would take whatever she was given. Evan had been an opportunity for her the same way she'd been one for him; it all worked out in the end.
A few days later, Evan had decided he'd had enough. He'd finished up everything he'd wanted to, he even had a steady job and now it was time to move on and closer to the real world. He had no reason to stay behind anyway. His family certainly wasn't a reason for him, although his relationship with Amanda had gotten "better." In other words, they didn't fight as much because they were both too busy and were hardly in the house at the same time. So with all this said and done, Evan decided it was time to go to college.
Meanwhile, Amanda was still working hard at her own job back home.
And she succeeds rather easily. Life in her grandmother's house was certainly different now than it had been when they'd first moved in. For one, Amanda was quite fond of her grandmother and her quaint house now and with Evan gone, it was much more peaceful and enjoyable. Amanda could see why her father had loved this house so much.
Tara, although she would never admit it, was also happy that Evan was gone. With no one to play overprotective brother, she could do just about whatever she wanted. Amy looked over her grandchildren quite liberally, allowing them their freedom as long as they didn't get into any bad trouble. Amanda encouraged all kinds of behavior in her little sister, but she had some good expectations as well. Tara wasn't sure if going all the way with her crush, Randy London, counted as bad trouble or if it was the kind of behavior Amanda would encourage, but she wanted to do it and he did too.
Of course, Tara was a Family sim though and she expected some kind of commitment after such an act. Randy was not at all unwilling and soon enough, they were officially boyfriend and girlfriend. Tara knew that if Evan had been there, none of that would've happened, especially seeing as Randy was Evan's friend first. But Tara really liked Randy and she wouldn't let anything or anyone else stand in her way of getting to her guy.
Amy didn't know how to feel about her grandchildren getting ready and set to go to college. Sure, she wasn't the biggest social butterfly, but she was human and she did crave company. She spent many hours on the phone with her friends when her grandchildren weren't around and when they were, she tried to spend as much time with them as possible. With them leaving for college and her getting older, Amy knew there wasn't much time left for her to do that. But she knew that if she died now, she'd die happy and knowing that her grandchildren would prosper and make her and their late parents proud.
A few days after Evan, Amanda left for college as well and she said a hearty goodbye to her grandmother Amy. Tara was rather upset to have to say goodbye to her sister so soon, but it seemed likely that the two would go to the same college, so Tara wasn't too torn up about it. Still, the once small-looking house now seemed too big for only two people to inhabit.
And then the two narrowed down to one. On the very same day Tara planned to tell her grandmother that she was going to head off to college now, scholarships and all, Amy...died. Tara was very upset about it, but she didn't cry. She knew that Amy would be fine wherever she was now and she would dearly miss her grandmother, but the fond memories from the past few days would be enough to last a lifetime. Tara knew that there was no other way to show her gratitude for what Amy did for her grandchildren than to live her life to the fullest and remember to respect Amy and her parents' memories.
And so she would do just that.
However, the empty atmosphere of the house was now suffocating her and Tara couldn't deal with these things on her own. She packed her stuff and went off to college, wondering what else life would throw her way.
That's it for the Bleckers this round! Up next, we have the Knox family.
