Sorry for the incredible lapse between entries--life got hectic. Don't think I've forgotten about this challenge though!
We return once again to the McPhersons, a family with two adults and three teens.

Charlotte was getting closer and closer to the end of her pregnancy with each passing day, something that made her both excited and nervous. She knew Matt's feelings on having another child, but he'd been mostly supportive so far so she wasn't terribly worried. At the same time, their relationship had just started to get back on track and she hoped the new baby wouldn't come between their newfound balance.
The day I started playing the McPhersons, I had just gotten both the Freetime and Apartment Life expansion packs (woo!) and the little pop-ups began showing and working their magic pretty much immediately. It seems that having Marylena around benefited Matt in more than one way. He hadn't gone too far past flirting with her yet, but it was only a matter of time and opportunity, wasn't it?
Ashley was beginning to learn from her father and tried harnessing her own charming skills. They appeared to work on Stuart Todd, who quite liked her flirting. Still, he remained reluctant to go any farther than flirting, something that absolutely frustrated Ashley. She knew she was pretty and she thought she'd have an easy picking with Stuart--he certainly wasn't as attractive or popular than her. So what was the hold up? In her mind, he should've been begging her to kiss him by now.
Meanwhile, in the McPhersons' backyard, Matt was hanging around on their new bubble blower with Marylena, claiming that he was just trying to make new friends. Charlotte was trying to drown herself in bliss over the pregnancy, so she just went with whatever Matt said to make him happy and keep herself happy as well. Still, everyone knew that it was near impossible for Matt to stay just friends with any female, especially one he found attractive.
Back in the house, Ashley had lost track of Stuart, but when she found him, she caught him breaking away from a kiss with her kid sister. Ashley tried to hide her disappointment and anger, but she couldn't help feeling a little bitter and hurt. She'd tried so hard to woo Stuart and Maybelle had known him for all of five minutes before he was putty in her hands. What did Maybelle have that Ashley didn't? It just wasn't fair. She was the older one and she'd seen him first! Ashley tried to let it go. She didn't want to be mad at her baby sister and besides, there were other fish in the sea. Hopefully better looking ones too...
Maybelle wasn't the only McPherson getting action though. Matt was a little busy himself. Marylena had finally completely given into his charms; no woman could resist Matt McPherson for long. He felt a little guilty cheating on Charlotte especially with most of their kids on their way to college and a newborn on the way, but the moment his lips touched Marylena's, he seemed to forget about all that. Matt wasn't much of a family man and he could be more than a little selfish. He was just looking out for his own needs.
Tina was living her own life, seemingly independent from the rest of her family. She was really prepping herself for college and thought it was necessary to study up on cuisine. The topic really interested her and she knew after leaving for college, she wouldn't have her mom's amazing cooking around, so she'd have to become an amazing cook herself. Besides, it was her lifetime dream to become a celebrity chef. It was no surprise that she got approached by a super-secret cuisine hobby club!
Not too soon after this, both Tina and Ashley left for college. As they were twins, they thought it'd be too strange for one to leave without the other. Although they didn't seem that close, they were actually very tight sisters and possibly each other's best friend. Neither knew if they'd be going to the same college, but they both knew that if they didn't, they would surely miss the other's company.
About a day after Tina and Ashley moved out, Charlotte went into labor! Well, you know all the sayings--as one door opens, another door closes? As someone goes out, another comes in? Or something like that.
And then she had twins! Another pair of McPherson twins! A girl--named Michelle--and a boy--named Carter.
Not many hours after giving birth to the twins, Charlotte was back in the bed with Matt, as if they didn't have newborns to take care of. Charlotte was overjoyed at having twins and now with six children under her belt, she was thinking about having ten! She didn't dare to voice these thoughts to Matt, who she was sure was going ballistic just thinking about the new twins, but she secretly hoped that Matt didn't bother using protection.
Maybelle was doing quite well at work--and enjoying it, never mind getting bonuses! Life was going pretty well for all the McPhersons.
Maybelle even kept up her relations with Stuart Todd, who she eventually went steady with. She wasn't entirely sure if she wanted to be his girlfriend, but she liked hanging around with him and she was really just experimenting for the moment. Everything concerning romance was so new to her. She wasn't really settling down. Calling Stuart her boyfriend felt more like a backup plan. She was a pleasure-seeker anyway.
Pretty soon it was the twins' birthdays and it was the most exciting event so far since their birth! Charlotte was quite surprised that it crept upon them so quickly. Despite all the children she'd had, it was still shocking that they grew up so fast.
Michelle was adorable. She looked a little more like her father than her mother, but it was clear that she would grow to be a beautiful girl. Charlotte couldn't help but to adore her small child. She'd loved every single one she'd had so far and the twins were going to be no different.
Carter was also looking to be a handsome young boy, with brown hair that looked red, much like his sister Maybelle's. All the McPherson children looked slightly alike--most of them shared noses or smiles or eyes--but all of them also had very distinct faces and personalities. With so many children, one wouldn't expect such a great range, but the McPhersons were an exception.
Carter got a much neater haircut once his hair darkened and even at such a young age, he resembled his older brother Aiden quite a bit. All the McPherson children were attractive and it was pretty fair to say that they wouldn't have many problems finding significant others.
Speaking of significant others and children...
It seemed that Charlotte and Matt hadn't learned since their last fiasco with Tina when she was younger. Granted, Michelle was younger than Tina was when she caught their parents together and Charlotte and Matt had also been much more decent, keeping their bedroom activities in their bedroom. Such was not the case with small Michelle, unfortunately.
Maybelle took to caring for her younger siblings very much, seeing as she had almost no one else in the house. It was lonely now and she wasn't the youngest anymore. She wanted to make sure Carter and Michelle had everything she'd had--and more. She gave them haircuts, bought them toys and coddled them a lot. It certainly took a huge weight off of Charlotte's shoulders. She'd been the housewife all her life and it was nice to see her children making an effort when her husband couldn't.
However, Charlotte was showing signs of pregnancy again--morning sickness being one of the worst. She didn't want to jump to conclusions and kept her mouth shut, afraid of telling Matt anything and also afraid of taking a pregnancy test. Still, she secretly hoped that she was pregnant again. Apparently she was still rather fertile although she was getting older now. Charlotte really did want those ten kids though. If that was going to happen, the more pregnancies and the sooner, the better.
Unfortunately, things didn't always go so greatly at work for Matt. The McPhersons really needed the money though. Building their house (which sometimes felt too small even) had taken a large chunk out of their finances and it seemed that no matter how hard Matt and the kids worked, that hole wouldn't be filled again. Matt sometimes complained to Charlotte about how having more children really wouldn't help their situation, but it was an argument that fell on deaf ears when it came to Charlotte. She almost got mad when Matt suggested that she stop trying to get pregnant and get a job. He never suggested it after that. She never considered it either.
It became apparent very quickly that Charlotte was pregnant again though. Matt barely talked to her about it, so Charlotte wasn't sure if he was pleased or not. For some reason though, she doubted he was very happy with the situation.
Maybelle figured it was high time that she left the nest and decided to go off to college before the next batch of McPhersons were born. It was nice taking care of her younger siblings and helping her parents out, but she was ready to take her life into her own hands now.
The house wouldn't feel too empty though. It was the twins' birthdays again and they were growing into children. Children who were almost fully capable of taking care of themselves and who would no doubt be running around the house doing who-knows-what. It would be just like when the McPhersons first moved to Holisdale, all over again.
Matt seemed relatively excited about the twins growing up although he still hadn't expressed his opinion on the coming baby (or babies, considering Charlotte's likelihood to have more than one child at a time). He seemed to be avoiding the subject entirely and Charlotte wasn't sure if she preferred his silence to his complaints.
Carter grew up, looking surprisingly similar to his mother and still working his haircut.
And Michelle grew up, looking a lot like her twin of course and excited (apparently) for the next day--her first day at school!
While she and her brother were at school though, their mother was alone at home giving birth!
Something told me we weren't just getting twins...
...and I was right! First triplets in my game and of course they're Charlotte McPherson's! Welcome babies Hamilton, Kane and Sophia to the world! They're certainly going to be a handful. Charlotte was a little worried about what Matt would think of all this once he got home, but that was another issue to deal with at another time. For now, she had to figure out how they could expand their nursery/bedroom to fit all these bundles of joy!
That's it for the McPhersons this round. There is no Bleckers update this round as all the living Bleckers are at college, so next up is the Knoxs!
Thanks for reading! :]
