For all of you who guessed Nancy and Aiden's engagement would last less than three days... congratulations. Three guesses as to what happened--the first two don't count. About a day after he and Nancy were officially engaged, Aiden thought it would be okay to sleep with Chris (is anyone getting the slight sense of déjà vu here? Like father, like son...). Of course, this was not a logical thought considering he was actually in a committed relationship with someone else now. And so Nancy barged in and rightfully slapped the hell out of him. Surprisingly enough, they didn't break up just then.
But Nancy's violent action towards Aiden and development of hate towards her fiancé and Chris seemed to inspire acts of violence throughout the house. Now in a house full of many people with different personalities, there was bound to be some kind of a clash. Towards junior and senior year, however, things got particularly violent and nasty between the House members. They no longer cared for being subtle and at least three fights broke out between various people a day. Carver and Kittredge were not only shocked by all the fighting, but were also surprised every time one of the Smith children was involved and lost the fight.
And as if there wasn't enough drama in the house, some sims were still rolling pretty ridiculous wants. Jasmine briefly considered an engagement to Aiden, but since he was the center of most of the drama in the House, she cast off that ridiculous notion. Besides, out of all of Aiden's flings, she was the one who spent the least amount of time with him. They might've only slept together once or twice, even!
Bailey, removed from most of the House drama as usual, went about on her regular routine and was surprised to one day find a single red rose on their doorstep. A note was attached with her name written in a pretty cursive and a short (and cheesy) love poem by Emma underneath it. The gesture made Bailey smile--it was nice to know that Emma had still enjoyed their date even if they weren't really suitable partners. They were still good friends though, so Bailey didn't mind all that much. She'd get her girl someday.
Inside the house, the fighting continued. There was no mercy for anyone. Ryker, who seemed like the perfect gentleman, had no qualms about schooling Nancy. There was so much fighting and drama, one couldn't even tell what all these spats were about!
Apparently Abigail found her fiancé beating up other girls to be hot... That worried me just a little, but they were clearly the happiest couple in the entire House, so maybe it wasn't such a big deal. I really did wish there wasn't so much fighting in the house though. There were way too many clouds of gray on my screen every time I looked up.
Daria got invited out on a date by Corbin and of course she didn't turn down the invitation. Not only was it an invite to spend time with Corbin, it was also an escape from the madhouse that the Annya Hoh Cham House currently was. Besides, maybe Daria could go scouting for some new boy toys while she was out.
Daria and Corbin headed down to Bernard's Botanical Dining for their date, but neither seemed to have food on their minds. Not surprisingly, these two didn't come out for the traditional date...
No, they made a beeline for the photobooth. And no, they didn't just take pictures in there.
But judging by Corbin's expression, a good time was had by all. If they were planning on shocking anyone with their very public woohoo, then they didn't really succeed--the few people who were actually at the restaurant at the time were all busy trying to get seated or ordering their meals. Hardly anyone paid the pair any attention, but maybe they didn't quite mind that.
Even though it was technically a formal date, neither Corbin nor Daria were very formal people. Even after their woohoo, neither wanted to settle down and eat. Instead, they just danced with one another to the classical music playing over the restaurant's speakers. It was pretty romantic after all.
However, it wasn't long before Corbin left to go to the bubble blower. Daria meant to follow him quickly, but she was stopped by a number of men (including this man) who thought it would be an appropriate time to whistle at her or check her out. Not that Daria particularly minded the attention, but almost every single guy who came into Bernard's that night intentionally passed her way. When she wasn't out on a date, that number of guys barely looked her way! But now that she was (and after her public woohoo, no less), it seems the townies couldn't stay away from her!
Back at the AHC House, there was still more romance in the air. Jasmine had pretty much given up on Aiden and his drama llama ways (besides, she was sure Chris was a better match for him than she was) and had turned her attention to his shy, chill little sister, Callie. Callie was surprised by Jasmine's come-ons at first. She was caught off guard by it. She was kind of the wallflower of the family, so to speak. She preferred to just relax, kick back and watch TV. Sure, people liked her and she had friends, but she didn't have that exuberant personality like Aiden. But she and Jasmine were friends and it wasn't as if Jasmine were two-timing her with Aiden. The more Callie thought about it, the less weird Jasmine's flirting was...
It was also that same night that Nancy decided to finally break things off with Aiden. He hadn't even properly apologized to her for cheating and it didn't seem like he was actually all that remorseful. Still, Aiden seemed shocked when Nancy told him she was through with him. She advised him to grow up a little and hoped that he would mature and learn to take an engagement seriously before he tried proposing to anyone again.
Meanwhile, Callie and Jasmine's relationship steadily progressed to the bedroom. Mind you, that was Aiden's bed...but perhaps he deserved it after all the times he sullied Abigail's sheets?
And in the aftermath of it all, everyone seemed to be okay. Aiden didn't seem that torn up about Nancy breaking up with him and to Callie's total mortification, Jasmine chose to openly discuss taking her virginity in front of her older brother. ...Not that Aiden was paying any attention to anything going on in their corner of the room. Finally a happy ending for all, perhaps?
Callie and Jasmine sure seemed to be happy. Even though Callie was just as backwards as her twin Daria--first woohoo first, first kiss after--she and Jasmine seemed to be doing just fine together. Jasmine at least gave Callie something to do besides college assignments and watching TV--oh, and playing darts, of course.
Speaking of giving, Aiden left Chris with a little gift of his own. Besides the couple themselves, nobody in the House was surprised by this turn of events. Some were even surprised that Aiden hadn't knocked someone up sooner! Carver and Kittredge were just beside themselves, wondering how they'd ended up with two pregnant sims still in college. "Kids these days," Sylvia muttered to herself, shaking her head. Well...there was nothing they could do about it now--or ever, really. The scientists were so far, just spectators. They really had no power over the courses of their subjects' lives.
After her failed date with Emma Centowski, Bailey was pretty lonely, but Tamara was still around. In fact, Tamara came around almost every other day (much to everyone else's displeasure) and always spent time with Bailey. Tamara was great to her even though she liked to throw water balloons a little too much for Bailey's liking. But Bailey knew things between her and Tamara wouldn't last. As the cow mascot, Tamara was basically stuck at La Fiesta Tech for the rest of her life. It was unfortunate, but true, and Bailey had to face that. So while Tamara was a nice comfort for Bailey right then, she wouldn't be around forever.
Aiden needed to realize that things wouldn't stay the same forever too. Although Jasmine had stopped all romantic interactions with him (and had moved on to his sister), Aiden still somehow believed that Jasmine was still with him. His selfishness was creating problems and he even went so far as to accuse Jasmine of cheating when he saw her making out with Callie. Callie was disturbed by her brother's anger, but he didn't want to hear anything from her either. Nobody in the house appreciated Aiden's double standards though.
Despite all the chaos that ran rampant in the house everyday (pregnancies, fighting all the time, romantic drama), the Annya Hoh Cham members still managed to get in plenty of time for studying and completing assignments. They all understood that the university wouldn't be too understanding about their need for a full social calendar nor would the faculty sympathize with stomach and back pain because of a protruding belly. They needed to stay on top of their studies and it was in these moments that the house was truly calm and everyone was truly together--united for one cause: to get that passing GPA.
Speaking of pregnancies... Oh yes, indeed. Another one. But this one was the most baffling of all.
"Jasmine is pregnant...with Callie's child?" Michael Carver repeated (for what had to have been the seventh time), still not fully comprehending it. Kittredge didn't say anything to him about it either. She didn't understand how this came about herself. It should have been physically impossible... But weird things were always happening in SimLand. Same sex pregnancies weren't that far out when put in perspective. Although it didn't answer their questions, until they were able to observe the situation closer, they'd have to settle with that conclusion.
The pregnancy wasn't the only surprise Jasmine whipped up. She figured carrying Callie's child was a good reason for them to get engaged now--not that Callie was complaining. It was a little reminiscent of a shotgun wedding, but the two had something both special and simple and they truly did love each other. Jasmine's pregnancy just added more urgency to their situation.
Being in a house full of lovey dovey (and in Aiden and Chris' case, just ridiculously sexually active) people all the time was beginning to get to Daria. She didn't have any of her boy toys readily available at all times, which she thought was kind of unfair. Maybe that was a good thing though, she mused as she thought about the three pregnant women in the AHC House. So when Corbin called her and invited her out on a formal outing, Daria practically ran to the community lot. It wasn't a date--Corbin had brought along some of his friends--but Daria thought it'd be a great time to meet new people. And make out with Corbin, of course.
Just like before, at Bernard's Botanical Dining, many guys were approaching Daria, whistling at her and checking her out, but--for the moment, at least--Daria only had eyes for Corbin. While I can't imagine Daria settling down anytime soon (if ever), she and Corbin make a good match. Or at least, they seem to. They sure spend a helluva lot of time together. Even when other guys are giving her attention (or even when she's giving other guys attention...), Daria always comes back to Corbin. It's pretty cute.
Of course, as a Romance sim, Daria was basically programmed to stray. Here she is flirting with Keith Letourneau, a fellow college student. Daria's admittedly a bit of a tease. A guy like Keith had no real chance with her and she knew this, but she flirted with him anyway. Why? Because she wanted to, honestly. As long as Daria gets her romancin' on, she's a happy girl--no matter who might get hurt in the process.
Most of the guys she flirted with only had one-bolt chemistry with her anyway. Oliver Schweber here, however, had two-bolts with Miss Smith and they got along quite nicely. Oliver's genetics were also pretty unique (in other words, I wanted to marry him in right away and have them make pretty babies). It's a shame--Daria's possibly the most desirable of the Smith children and yet she's a Romance sim.
But overall, Daria's just a really cool girl. She has high creativity skills (I believe she might've maxed them out at this point) and she's pretty happy-go-lucky. She's easy to please, she has ambitions, she's smart, she's got a well-balanced personality. Quite the eligible bachelorette if you ask me.
Oliver Schweber certainly agrees.
Back at the AHC House, Callie became the second Smith to be initiated into the Secret Society. Despite being unaware of the Secret Society's tradition of arresting their members and pushing them into the back of a sketchy looking limo, Callie went along without much resistance, afraid that if she did anything brash, she'd get hurt or tased or something. Besides, she was Callie--always chill.
This proved effective and before she knew it, Callie was at the Secret Society lot and being officially initiated by the other members. She definitely appreciated the snazzy jacket even if she thought they were kind of weird. She was surprised to find some familiar faces in the crowd greeting her and was even more surprised when someone told her Aiden was also a part of the society.
Like her brother before her, Callie showed less interest in the weird technology that was scattered about the Secret Society house. Then again, she didn't know anyone who had died, so contacting the Grim Reaper would be kind of useless. She wasn't sick (and nobody in her family had ever gotten sick, now that she thought about it...), so making medicine would be silly. She didn't need any more money, so making counterfeits would just be troublesome and she'd feel pretty unethical if she hacked her grades, especially when she was doing so well on her own. Still, Carver and Kittredge wanted to see these objects in action...
When Callie returned to the AHC House, she said nothing, but it was apparently Daria's turn to be abducted and taken to the Secret Society. Having barely paid any attention to her siblings' college affairs, Daria was especially confused when some woman she didn't know came up to her and started squawking and flapping her arms like she was a chicken. Daria could only raise an eyebrow in bewilderment (and then squawk a little in protest) as the woman put handcuffs on her and threw her into the back of the waiting limousine.
Daria was pretty pleased with her ability to get into the Secret Society without even having known of its existence. Then again, she thought, wasn't that the purpose of a Secret Society?
And just like her siblings, Daria had little interest in the strange objects around her. No, the only thing that caught her attention were all the cute boys waiting at the front to greet her. What happens at the Secret Society stays at the Secret Society, right?
Chris had been with Aiden since his freshman year and now, being pregnant with his child, she ultimately failed as a Romance sim. She had barely even as much as flirted with anyone else. With this in mind, she changed her aspiration Junior year. And that is how Chris Buckingham became a Fortune sim instead.
With the pledges reaching their junior years, it was time for the older members to graduate! Abigail was the first to go, looking gorgeous in her cap and gown. She graduated with a 4.0 (Summa Cum Laude) in Biology. So she threw a graduation party and the festivities were well underway.
Jane and Addison were invited to their daughter's graduation party and they showed the crew what it meant to have a real party. And you wonder where the kids get it from.
The party was a smash and as soon as it was done, Abigail left to go home with her degree in her inventory. It felt weird for her to leave, but she knew she wouldn't be gone for too long. Besides, now that she had graduated, she could get started on that career she had been looking forward to so much. Well, that and the baby, of course. Ryker was going to miss his fiancée, but they would be reunited soon enough.
Tamara Vu spent far too much time at the AHC House (especially for anyone's liking) and a lot of the time, it wasn't even to see Bailey! Tamara had a knack for following Aiden and Chris (but only when they were together). She also liked to start fights with Aiden. The other 75% of her time was spent with Bailey though.
In other news, Jasmine got initiated into the campus' Secret Society, which, if they keep going at this rate, will not be much of a secret anymore.
Back at AHC, it was Aiden's turn to throw a graduation party and he started the celebration off right by proposing to Chris. Chris, a reformed Fortune sim, accepted the proposal with no hesitation and the two were then engaged! It came as no surprise to anyone in the house and people were actually happy for the couple this time around. No one was placing any bets on how long it would be before Chris found another woman in Aiden's bed... Even Nancy was happy for them.
Another successful party later, Aiden was on his way back to Eden in a taxi, impatiently awaiting the decision for heir. While he himself wasn't set on being heir, he knew the results were still pretty up in the air. In other words, it was anybody's game. Aiden graduated with a 3.8 (Cum Laude) in Philosophy.
After Aiden, it was Daria's turn. She looked amazing in just a cap and gown and she felt amazing too. She couldn't believe her college years were coming to an end, but it was really just another beginning, wasn't it? Besides, going back into Eden meant even more guys for her to mingle with. In Daria's mind, that meant fun, fun, fun! She graduated with a 3.8 (Cum Laude) in Biology.
Taking a page out of Aiden's book, Daria invited all her boy toys to her graduation party. Most of them were graduating right alongside her, so it was fine. She spent basically the whole party with the guys as they lined up to dance with her or flirt with her or kiss her or who knows what else. It really made Daria smile--she certainly felt popular on her graduation day!
Daria made sure she gave each guy his own individual time with her though. She wanted to make sure she kept her guys close even after graduation. Just because they weren't in college anymore didn't mean they didn't need her loving--or rather, that she didn't need theirs. Daria needed to keep those references for future booty calls!
Surprisingly, Ryker wasn't okay with Daria's loose behavior. In fact, he felt like she was cheating on him. Michael and Sylvia were very confused as they watched on, but soon things would be cleared up. It seemed that Ryker and Daria had good chemistry (not as epic as Ryker and Abigail's chemistry, but still good). However, Ryker was Abigail's and Romance sim or not, Daria wouldn't touch her older sister's man. For the longest time, Ryker and Daria were only just best friends. They didn't flirt or anything, but somehow, the two still managed to fall in love with each other. But Ryker didn't really have the right to slap Daria and accuse her of cheating!
Daria hardly seemed bothered by Ryker's weird behavior though. Ryker had never been hers in the first place and she had plenty of other guys in her life to keep her company for the years to come. It'd be cool if she and Ryker could be best friends again though.
After her amazing party was over, Daria was ready to head back to Eden, still dressed like she was in La Fiesta Tech heat though.
After Daria, it was Callie's turn to graduate! She looked very excited to be leaving La Fiesta Tech. Callie knew she was going to miss her ultimate chill zone though. Where else would it be cool to disappear somewhere on campus and return home with a TV? She graduated with a 4.0 (Summa Cum Laude) in Literature.
Callie's graduation party, although chill and a smash, was...quiet. She basically spent the party making out with Jasmine and the house was mostly empty at this point. It was cool though because Callie's cool with everything and everyone who came had a good time watching TV and playing darts. Callie left in a taxi to go back to Eden, waiting for the heir decision and for the rest of her life.
So last, but not least, was Bailey's graduation! Bailey was excited to join the rest of her family and start the rest of her life. She had missed Eden quite a bit during her years at La Fiesta Tech. The desert was fun and cool and all, but it didn't hold the same feeling as the lush grasses back in Eden. Bailey graduated with a 4.0 (Summa Cum Laude) in Drama.
With most of her family unavailable, Bailey invited mostly friends to her graduation party. She even called up Stella Terrano despite not talking to the girl since that rejected first kiss incident. However, the moment Stella arrived, she took Bailey by the hand, led her upstairs into Bailey's bedroom and got right down to business! Bailey was certainly surprised, but she wasn't upset by Stella's sudden change of heart at all.
In the afterglow, Stella explained that she had just been nervous that time she rejected Bailey. They had been good friends and Stella thought they'd be rushing things. She feared that to Bailey, she was just another notch in Bailey's experimental phase in college. But after not staying in contact for a few semesters, Stella realized that she had accidentally pushed Bailey away and she'd almost given up entirely when Bailey out of the blue invited her to her graduation party. So Stella tossed all caution to the wind, let go of all her inhibitions and took the biggest risk of her life. Both of them were so thankful for that.
And so Bailey got her first proper kiss from Stella and it was just as magical as she'd hoped it'd be. They were clearly meant to be together, Bailey thought. The two had a certain chemistry that Bailey didn't have with anyone else. Bailey was forever glad that she'd had the idea to invite Stella to her graduation party, even after all these semesters. What if she had graduated without talking to Stella again? Bailey wasn't sure she'd have been able to live with herself then. Too many regrets to leave college with.
Bailey decided to take a risk too and since she was no longer afraid of rejection from Stella, she got down on one knee and asked the alien girl to marry her. In a happy shock, Stella excitedly agreed. Michael and Sylvia were happy for the couple, but they felt there was something off. Despite Stella being an alien (and no doubt having experienced some harassment), she was from Strangetown and she had that weird thing where she could apparently read auras and vibes. She was supposed to be royalty too... What if Stella was working for the Strangetown scientists? What if she was meant to be a spy?
Michael and Sylvia decided they'd just have to wait and see... There was nothing else they could do and the two women seemed so happy with each other. Even if they could, why would they want to interfere with Bailey's happiness?
With all that said and done, Bailey officially graduated from college and left for Eden, just like her siblings had. She promised Stella that they'd see each other again very soon and Bailey planned to keep that promise.
Carver and Kittredge felt something boiling underneath the surface. Now that the first generation had graduated college, things were sure to get really interesting. Thankfully the robotic family had two scientists on their side, looking out for them--kind of like guardian angels. The only question was, how did they plan on protecting their creations?
