Hope - Well I think there was a legend with a box and someone opened it and let out everything but hope. Now most people seem to think this was a good idea. But no doubt for a very different reason than the original tale would have told. We think hope is lovely and useful but the original Greeks saw it as an ill of mankind. I mean why else would they have it locked up in a box with all the sickness of the world. Here they are bemoaning that the sickness has been let out to hound us for eternity but they seem quite happy about having saved us from being plagued with hope. I think the moral of the tale is don't assume you know the moral of the tale.
Photography - There was a time when it would take weeks before you could tell if you took a good photo. Now with the marvel of digital camera you can check these things in about 2 seconds. I find this useful in a way as I can see if I'm being utterly rubbish with my photos instead of merely passable. I take photos to show the world what I see and what I find of interest. So I look forward to the day when I can just make a photo by blinking and printing out what I'm actually looking at.
Costumes - A superhero is nothing without a costume. You have to have the right grade of apocalypse proof lycra with which to cover yourself. But then you have the inconvenience of wearing your under things for all the world to see. You also have to think of ingenious ways of hiding your true identity such as the glasses of 'normality'tm. Personally I find being the one behind the scenes a bit more interesting and as such am able to have a perfectly servicable waistcoat and shirt as my costume. Though I do still wear the glasses of 'normality'tm.
Love - Love is one of those words with too many definitions and therefore it leads to many complications whenever its used. Personally I've written an essay on the subject so won't bang on about it too much. However I love vegetables but I don't 'love' vegetables...
The Future - There is one, it may or may not be bright. I'm not entirely convinced it will be orange. Some people plan for it, others don't. I like to hedge my bets on which way it will go and I have the skills to survive a minor aocalypse I think. Certainly I have back up plans and a zombie survivors group all picked out. Mind they might kill me on sight as a suspected zombie queen. Ah well, here's to finding out.
