Agh.  Anyone have some advice about how to train a cat to throw up in the catbox, or heck, even on the tile, just anywhere but on the carpet?

Aww, I feel your pain. I've been there a thousand times. When I had cats they'd always throw up (twice a week at least) wherever they were comfortable and most of the time it was on the carpet. I remember running to them when I heard the first bit of hocking and hoping that I could move them quick enough. Usually it was unsuccessful. It drove me nuts. Too bad you can't train them.

It's funny. I have two cats. One, Pepper, is never sick, and the other, Lucy, is sick all the time. Partly it's because Lucy is the only cat allowed outside, and she goes out, eats grass, comes in and throws up grass. But mostly, I think she just has the weakest stomach in the world.

Good thing she's pretty. :)

Oh yeah, I know the drill. My cats used to get sick on just food. We changed the type of food with no change in frequency of sickness. I had to put my cats down last year. They were getting old, having seizures and skin conditions, not to mention my allergy. I've had them since I was 18. Very rough time for the family. :(

I miss cats. They are adorable! Hug 'em for me.
