The point is that most of what we currently hold sacred is only sacred because it was thought to be sacred yesterday.  Surely, if we could create the world anew, the practice of organizing our lives around untestable propositions found in ancient literature-to say nothing of killing and dying for them-would be impossible to justify.  What stops us ( Read more... )

where does it state that we can kill kids? i'm not saying your wrong, i'm just curious what passages say it's ok to kill your kids just because they start worshiping something other than God himself. and i would be willing to bet that even if the Bible won't be going the way of the greeks for the next thousand years or more. many thousands of years.
