yes there are things that Christians adhere to that come out of the Old Testament, including Deuteronomy, (such as God talkign to Moses on Mt. Sinai) however most laws from the Old Testament are not of the Christain faith. especially killing you're own kid ( which is where the 10 Commandments contradicts Deuteronomy 13:7-11 (the 6th, you shall not kill)
maybe the bible won't go away, perhaps there will just be one that's called "The New New Testament: We're Serious This Time"
